Fireplaces
Parkin and Jackson Ltd can either build you a brand new fireplace or restore an existing fireplace within your building. We can reproduce existing masonry to the original design. You do not need the original designs we can build any new parts required from the existing stonework.
If you want a new fireplace installing we can design and build this for you. Hand crafted in our Kendal workshop our craftsmen will then install the new fireplace into your property with a smooth transition into the chimney.
Granite Worktops
Granite is a very hard stone. A granite worktop is ideal for a kitchen, it is not only beautiful but durable too.
We design, cut, deliver and install granite worktops. We take the initial measurement, from this the granite is marked out, shaped and polished within our Kendal workshop. We can also include features such as an under mounted bowl and drainer grooves cut into the natural stone.
You may be installing a new Kitchen, or even giving a lease of life for an existing Kitchen, Parkin and Jackson can create an ideal work surface. You may even want to include a granite or marble based feature in your bathroom, whether you want a granite topped cupboard around your sink, to a granite shelf to store bathroom products. Granite is very difficult to damage and it does not deteriorate in the same way as wood when in contact with water.
Name Plates
Working in the same way as in memorial masonry we can create name plates for your building 
within your specifications. Whether you want to have name plate with the number or name of your house on it, a name plate to have at the end of a long driveway, or the name of your business that can be displayed outside your premises. The stone will be crafted within our Kendal workshop and the wording will be inscribed into the stone by our craftsmen.
We can also restore existing name plates that may have deteriorated over time due to weathering.
